MAKING MADISON HOME
The Details
Madison is a model of carefully planned
neighborhoods with economic, recreational and cultural opportunities. The
city’s superior quality of life helped Madison become one of the first
cities in Mississippi to receive state certification as a retirement
community. Mississippi is the only state that formally ranks its cities
according to their desirability
as retirement locations. The stringent
certification process evaluated Madison’s residential developments, cost
of living and safety records, as well as the availability of medical
services, adult education programs, shopping, recreation, and cultural
opportunities.
