This building was constructed in the late 1800’s which makes it one of the most historic sites in the city of Madison. It served generations of students as Madison-Ridgeland High school until the early 1990’s. The facility has undergone renovations throughout the years to adjust to the growing needs of this community. The Madison Square Center for the Arts is on Mississippi’s Registry of Historic Buildings and serves as a landmark in this community. The building continues to serve the people of Madison as it provides them with a venue to learn new skills, to improve God given abilities and to share creativity with the world around us.
As you use this facility, I hope that you gain knowledge, skills and enjoyment from your time here. My staff and I strive to best serve the citizens of Madison that make the Madison Square Center for the Arts a part of their weekly routine. The Madison Square Center for the Arts is also available for special event rentals, such as birthday parties, receptions, fundraisers, dances and other private and community events.
If there is ever
anything that we can do to make your time here more enjoyable, please do not
hesitate to let us know. Thank you for being a part of the art’s community
here in Madison. I hope that through your time here you are able learn, grow
and share with the world around you.
Best Wishes,
Justin M. Bennett,
