Household Hazardous Waste Day is set for May 25, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Madison Central High School.

Dispose of old, unuseable or unwaned items for free. 

The Swing into Summer event scheduled for Thursday, May 9 is being postponed due to the threat of bad weather moving in. The Patrick Harkins Band, Food Truck Night and children's activities scheduled for May 9 will instead happen on May 30.

Madison Avenue will be closed at the railroad crossing for rail/road repair on Monday, April 29, at 9 a.m. until late Wednesday, May 1.

Madison's Summer Arts Camp will present "Getting to Know...Footloose" this summer at Madison Square Center for the Arts.

Camp runs July 8-19, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and the big show is July 20.

Join the fun at the the Easter Egg Hunt at Strawberry Patch Park on Saturday, April 13, 9:30-11:30 a.m. The hunt, open to children through age 8, begins promptly at 10 a.m.

Movie Under the Stars will show "Ralph Breaks the Internet" on Friday, March 29 at 7:30.  Bring your blankets and chairs to settle in for an evening of entertainment on new baseball field 8 at LIberty Park.

Food vendors will be on site.

The Bibletones Quartet will perform April 18 at Madison Square Center for the Arts, 2103 Main Street.

The concert is 5-6 p.m. with refreshments at 4:30.

Lifestyle Ladies will provide an evening of informative talks about makeup, floral tips, home decor, plus a fashion show and more in a casual and relaxed atmosphere. The event is set for March 28.

March offers a month full of activities for Madison's retirees, including a Fish Fry on March 14 with $5 tickets available at the Community Center and the Chamber of Commerce office.  Look over the calendar to find activities.

A Fish Fry for senior adults is set for March 14, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Madison Square Center for the Arts. Entertainment will be supplied by Big Earl and Penn's is catering the food.

Madison City Hall will be closed for the Presidents' Day holiday Monday, Feb. 18.

Garbage pickup will not be affected by the holiday.

Registration is open for Summer Arts Camp at Madison Square Center for the Arts. Camp is July 8-19 for students who have finished first grade through ninth grade..

All samples were cleared by the Mississippi Department of Health. The City of Madison has lifted the boil water notice.
