Swing into Summer

Get ready to Swing into Summer Thursdays in May by the Red Caboose on Main Street.

There will be fun for the entire family May 2,9,16 and 23, 6-8 p.m. with music, children's activities and more.

On May 2, the band Come Together will provide the musical entertainment while the kids can enjoy inflatables, trackless train, petting zoo, Whiz Kids, cotton candy and face painting.

 May 9 will be Food Truck Night with the Patrick Harkins Band providing the entertainment. Activities include rock wall, inflatables and face painting.

Concert Cancelled

Due to severe weather moving into the area, the Bibletones concert for tonight (April 18) at 5 p.m. has been cancelled.

Ticket holders can get a refund by bringing their tickets by the office of Madison Square Center for the Arts. A new concert date has not been set.

The city apologizes for any inconvenience to those looking forward to this concert, but our first concern is for everyone's safety in the extreme conditions forecast for this afternoon when the singers were scheduled to travel here from south Mississippi and at the time of the concert.



Concert Cancelled Tonight

The Bibletones concert has been cancelled for Thursday, April 18, due to severe weather.

Ticket holders can get a refund by bringing their tickets to Madison Square Center for the Arts office.

A new date for the concert has not been set.

Summer Arts Camp

Madison's Summer Arts Camp will present "Getting to Know...Footloose" this summer at Madison Square Center for the Arts.

Camp runs July 8-19, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and the big show is July 20.

Campers will spend two weeks in classes for singing, dancing, art, set design, theatre arts and rehearsing for the grand finale production of "Getting to Know ... Footloose."

Easter Egg Hunt

Join the fun at the the Easter Egg Hunt at Strawberry Patch Park on Saturday, April 13, 9:30-11:30 a.m. The hunt, open to children through age 8, begins promptly at 10 a.m. There will be activities and refreshments during the morning.  Bring your camera to take photos with the Easter Bunny.

Parking will be available at Ridgecrest Baptist Church, and shuttles will bring families to and from the park.

The event is sponsored by the City of Madison and Broadmoor Baptist Church.

Movie Under the Stars

Movie Under the Stars will show "Ralph Breaks the Internet" on Friday, March 29 at 7:30.  Bring your blankets and chairs to settle in for an evening of entertainment on new baseball field 8 at LIberty Park.

Food vendors will be on site.

Bibletone Quartet in concert

The Bibletones Quartet will perform April 18 at Madison Square Center for the Arts, 2103 Main Street.

The concert is 5-6 p.m. with refreshments at 4:30.

Tickets are $5 and available at the Madison Community Center on Old Canton Road next to the Fire Station and at the arts center.

Lifestyle Ladies

Lifestyle Ladies will provide an evening of informative talks about makeup, floral tips, home decor, plus a fashion show and more in a casual and relaxed atmosphere. The event is set for March 28.

The 5:30-8 p.m. event at Madison Square Center for the Arts provides an evening totally geared to women. There will be appetizers plus wine or tea to enjoy while browsing vendor booths or listening to several informative talks from local experts like Amy Head on makeup, Gina Diamond on floral design or Kim Rogers of Persnickety on arranging your home.

Madison Night Out

Madison Night Out is Thursday, Oct. 24, at Madison Square Center for the Arts.
