National Wear Red Day

Friday, Feb. 1, is National Wear Red Day.

Heart disease is the No. 1 killer of women in the U.S. The American Heart Association's Go Red for Women movement motivates women to learn their family history and to meet with a healthcare provider to determine risks for cardiovascular disease and stroke.

Wear red this Friday as a visual reminder of support for women and the fight against heart disease.

Water issue

Repairs are underway on Friday, Jan. 25, at the Cotton Hill water well. Businesses and residents that are east of the well may experience brown water from their pipes, but it is not necessary to boil water.
