The second April meeting of the Mayor and Board of Aldermen will be held tonight at 6 p.m. in the Municipal Courtroom of the Madison Justice Complex, located at 2001 Main Street.

March in Praise on Main Street

You are invited to March in Praise on Main Street to celebrate the meaning of Christmas. Meet by 12:45 at Madison the City Chamber of Commerce to march down Main Street to Madison Square Center for the Arts. The arts center will be open 1-3 p.m. for visits with Santa, hot chocolate and cookies, a performance by Voices of Madison Avenue Upper Elementary School and recognition of nationally ranked Madison Central High Soccer Teams.

Madison's Night Out

Madison's Night Out ushers in the Festival of Trees.

The preview party for the city's new Christmas lights display on Main Street will be Nov. 29, 6:30-9 p.m. at Madison Square Center for the Arts. There will be good food from Strawberry Cafe, Dickie's, Bonefish Grill and Georgia Blue, plenty of Christmas music and a fabulous silent auction.

Tickets are $40 and available through Madison the City Chamber of Commerce. Two of the main sponsors are BankFirst and St. Dominic's.

Festival of Trees

Madison will shine brightly this Christmas season with its first Festival of Trees.

More than 50 Christmas trees, sponsored by local businesses, will fill the Main Street grounds of Madison Square Center for the Arts, starting Nov. 29 and continuing through the month of December.

If you love seeing Christmas lights, be sure and drive by to enjoy the dazzling show.
