Gov. Tate Reeves today extended his Safe Return order until 5 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30. Executive Order 1522 extends the mask mandate and increases the numbers allowed in retailers and restaurants to 75 percent capacity.

Work on Hoy Road will soon be underway.

Construction is expected to begin on Wednesday, Sept. 16, and the project is estimated to take 18 months to complete.

Madison city offices will be closed Monday, Sept. 7, for the Labor Day holiday.  There will be regularly scheduled garbage/recycling pick up on Monday.

New hours for Strawberry Patch Park and Liberty Park go into effect Saturday, May 16. Gov.

The Downtown Madison Farmers Market will open June 2 on the grounds of Madison Square Center for the Arts by the Red Caboose. Hours will be 3-6 p.m. on Tuesdays.

Gov. Tate Reeves on May 8 extended his Safer at Home executive order until 8 a.m. May 25. Under the order, barbers, salons and gyms will be allowed to open on Monday, May 11, under strict safety guidelines.

Here is Gov. Tate Reeves' amended executive order issued this week allowing for the opening of parks and restaurants on May 7, 2020. The order sets forth the guidelines that Madison is following.

 

Strawberry Patch Park and Liberty Park will open on Thursday, May 7. Parks will be open for activities, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
